Tournament Director

(Unique opportunity for an international event job in Copenhagen)


Based in our Copenhagen office (although London office would be considered) we are looking for an experienced Tournament Director to roll-out the tournament operations side of the BLAST Pro Series. As our Tournament Director you will report into the Director of Operations & Production and will manage and oversee the tournament operations around the world as well as manage our Teams & Talent Manager and our Tournament Officials Manager.


Headline tasks:


- Tournament calendar management for 2019 and preparing 2020

Team selection

–– Contracts, Team Agreements (could be legal dep. doing this)

–– Develop relationship with teams re: participation in BLAST Pro Series

- Prize money management

- Federation liaison

- Competition management

-- Rulebook development, with wider team and competition officials

-- League Operations development

-- Anti-cheat stage proofing

- Tournament Director role during tournaments

-- Leading communication with servers, officials, teams & talents and OB production

- Talent management (covering contracting, invoicing and co-ordination on selection of Talent with the Product team

- Management responsibility for the Teams & Talent Manager, Tournament Officials Manager and tournament specific casual staff

- Responsible for delivering a world class Team & Talent experience

- Sourcing & supporting sponsorship sales for specific esports equipment (PC’s, headsets, monitors, chairs, tables, etc.)

- Provide advice on servers, in-game production and other specialist contractor negotiations

- Leading key internal steering groups on the competition format & subsidiary events, teams’ relationship, & in-game development


Qualifications:


- Experienced and knowledgeable in production of large-scale sports events, esport specific strongly advised

- Proven record of delivering tournaments and dealing with athletes & talent

- Strong ability to plan, process and optimize a series of events

– Understanding of esport environment and specifically CS:GO

– Experience with project management tools

– Expert in written and oral communication in English (required), and possibly Danish

– Strong negotiation skills

– Strong international network

– Calm and collected

Operations Manager

(Unique opportunity for an international event job in London)


Based in our London office we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to roll-out the global operations side of the BLAST Pro Series. Reporting into the Director of Operations & Production alongside another Operations Manager the role will take a lead on planning for specific venues across all internal departments to ensure delivery of a world class tournament.


Headline tasks:


- Project lead on 4 events globally managing the:

–– Venue contractual & operational relationship

–– Venue layout and design process

–– Internal project management lead

–– Liaison with local co-promoter as required

- Supporting the other Operations Manager on their events

- Venue review and selection for 2020 venues

- Creating event planning templates and updating rider documents

- Reviewing event performance

- Budget responsibility for key venue and operational areas

- Working with internal departments to enhance sponsor & broadcast fulfilment processes

- Combined review of event operating documents

- Developing & implementing logistic plans for the roll out of the BLAST Pro Series

- Leading key internal steering groups on developing the tournament series

- Chairing weekly planning meetings along with the other Operations Manager


Qualifications:


- Experienced and knowledgeable in delivering large-scale events in a global setting

- Proven record of dealing with complex stakeholders

- Strong ability to plan, process and optimize a series of events
